Always an interesting question and especially now in these testing times of self or no choice isolation. People alone, couples obliged to be together 24/7 and don’t forget the people at home and supporting each other and their children with online learning!
So here are a few definitions of these words?
The nature of something is its basic quality or character. Someone’s nature is their character, which they show by the way they behave. Nature is all the animals, plants, and other things in the world that are not made by people, and all the events and processes that are not caused by people and of course, there is –
Nurture to take care of, feed and protect someone or something, especially young children or plants, and help them, or its to develop. Nurture help and or plan or nurture a person to develop and be successful.
So where does that lead us to and where we are now?
Many are stressed and stretched and having a difficult time to maintain routine and structure in their lives. What we are discovering is the need for self-discipline and huge adaptation from what we consider to be our usual ‘norms’! Emotional Intelligence gives us a great advantage as we can find a way to emphasise rather than just sympathise as we are all dealing with lockdown all be it in different stages or states of severity. Flexibility, patience, tolerance and self-control are all essential tools or strategies for us to find our way through each day. Having role models available at home or through various media channels can aid in keeping the mood up and staying positive.
In PRISM Brain Mapping terms we are all of us 50% our genetics the rest is all about development behaviour and our life experiences which breaks down even further to situational behaviour and visible responses.
What we need to be most aware of going forward is how this whole experience has benefitted our listening skills and our ability to pick up on what is not visible as well as what is.
NATURE OR NURTURE its a combination of both and also very much situational If you want to know more about PRISM Brain Mapping feel free to make contact with us and we will do our best to get back to you
